Band

Other View were born in 2003 when Mirko “Squarta” Cabras, Lord Meltdown (Matteo Bombardi) e Lon HaWk (Aaron Gnaga) decided to form a Heavy Metal band at a high school concert. It took them two years to find suitable members for the project but in 2005 the band was ready and formed as follows:

• Lon HaWk (Aaron Gnaga) , Lead Vocals

• Lord "Bomba" Meltdown (Matteo Bombardi), Bass

• Squarta (Mirko Cabras), Guitars

• Van (Stefano Candi), Guitars

• Simone Danesi, Drums

The band was full of talent and began working as a well oiled machine right from the start, obtaining great success in concerts and band battles like the Rockinbeat which Other View failed to win by only a few points, coming second after having impressed the jury of experts called upon to judge the contest.

During the following year the band continued with its success, playing in pubs, clubs and festivals in a constant struggle to find space in a very unforgiving and unrewarding Italian music scene. In September 2007 though Simone Danesi, the band’s drummer, decided to take up new horizons and a different type of music, Jazz, and left the band with little warning.

The following 12 months were critical for the band which struggled to find good drummers that would be dedicated to the project. In spring 2008 Mirko Cabras, one of the founders of the band, left music because of a very tight working schedule. This was Other View’s darkest hour. Thankfully, Van, the band’s now sole guitarist failed to give up until the very end and managed to find a young and talented drummer, Giacomo Bizzarrini, also Known as “Bizza” and nicknamed “Bender” by Lon HaWk, the new member was immediately friendly with his new companions, and was ready to show off his abilities, incredible for his age. The addition of Francesco “Frankie” Tuscano, a former fan of the band, to the lineup in substitution of Mirko Cabras meant the band was ready to come back.

In autumn 2008 the band is returning to the live scene with its new lineup, ready to show the world it’s capabilities and bringing back that old Hard n’ Heavy sound that Other View is known for, a sound that takes inspiration from the classic Hard Rock and Heavy Metal movements, taking them back into the present and giving them a modern, pleasurable feel.
